The National University of Singapore (NUS) and Stanford University (Stanford) invite applications from mid-career and senior Southeast Asianist scholars in the social sciences or humanities who would like to spend up to six months at NUS and Stanford writing and doing research on or related to contemporary Southeast Asia.
Candidates may be of any nationality and reside in any country.
Applicants should submit :
* a project statement (not to exceed three pages) that justifies and describes the writing - and research envisaged during the fellowship;
* a schedule of preferred locations and dates including time in residence at each of the two campuses;
* a sample of previous English-language publication; a curriculum vitae;
* and full contact information for three references who are able, if asked, to evaluate the proposal and the candidate.
The exact length of the fellowship and the allocation of time spent at each campus will take into account the preferences of the successful applicant.
The fellowship carries a stipend of US$ 7,500 per month plus reimbursement for air travel to and from NUS and Stanford.

What is Offered
* The Singapore Scholarship is tenable for the minimum period required to obtain the respective degrees at Nanyang Technological University, National University of Singapore or Singapore Management University. It covers full tuition fees and a living allowance of S$4,300 (covering meals, transport, textbooks and course materials during schoool semester) per academic year. In addition, a separate full accommodation allowance based on the room rates at each university or designated hostel (for SMU which does not have on-campus accommodation) will be provided during school semester.
* One return economy class air ticket is provided for the Scholar’s passage from his/her home country to Singapore for the duration of studies determined by the Singapore Government. No additional assistance will be provided for other travel expenses.
* A recipient of the Scholarship may not concurrently hold any other Scholarship, Fellowship, Grant or Award without the prior approval of the Singapore Government.
* There is no bond imposed on the Scholarship by the Singapore Government. The Scholars are expected to return home to contribute to the development of their countries upon graduation.
* The Singapore Government reserves the right to terminate the Scholarship if the Scholar’s academic progress is unsatisfactory or his conduct is in violation of the university`s rules and regulations.

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) Saudi Arabia - The KAUST Discovery Scholarship is the general scholarship program of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). Departemen dapat memiliki kebijakan yang berbeda-beda dalam masalah ini.
Surat rekomendasi dari dosen diminta untuk dikirim langsung namun boleh digabung dengan pengiriman formulir lamaran dengan cara:
* tiap surat rekomendasi disimpan dalam amplop terpisah dan dilem (1 surat 1 amplop)
* minta dosen yang memberikan rekomendasi untuk membubuhkan tanda tangan di tutup amplop itu sebagai segel lalu minta untuk distempel fakultas di bagian segelnya.
Setelah berkas diterima oleh KFUPM, pelamar akan dikirimi surat keterangan bahwa berkas telah diterima dan jika ada yang kurang akan diingatkan dalam surat itu. Dalam surat itu juga tercantum reference number yang dapat digunakan pada Admission Tracking System:

The aim of the PhD project is to investigate the link between technological change and the structure of labour demand. Beasiswa Eiffel Scholarship Program 2007-2008
For International students, The Eiffel scholarship program offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is designed to bolster international recruiting by French schools of higher education, at a time when competition to attract elite foreign students is growing among developed countries.
To get Eiffel scholarship, usually we should have been received in university in French. Eiffel scholarships are awarded to foreign students for study in France towards a master’s degree, primarily in three areas: engineering, economics & management, law & political science. Under the program 400 scholarships are offered every year. The scholarships provide recipients with a monthly allowance of about 1,000 euros. The students chosen are also given health coverage, travel expenses and cultural activities. Since 1999, when the program was first founded, over 8,000 candidates have applied and over 2,600 have been chosen.

Funded by the Government of Japan
Qualified citizens of developing member countries of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), who intend to persue postgraduate studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related fields are invented to apply for scholarships under the Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program. PhD Scholarship in Model Predictive Control, Norway
Beasiswa S3 dari Norwegia. Norway: PhD Scholarship in Model Predictive Control for Managed Pressure Drilling, The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). The Department of Engineering Cybernetics at The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in cooperation with the Center for Integrated Operations in the Petroleum Industry, invites applications for a PhD scholarship in Model Predictive Control for Managed Pressure Drilling.
Maintaining the correct bottom hole pressure during drilling is important both for the safety of the drilling operation and for the production characteristics of the well. The control problem is complicated by the long distance from the well bottom to the control actuator on the surface (possibly more than 10 km), in addition to the lack of on-line measurements from the well bottom. The proposed PhD will investigate the use of Model Predictive Control (MPC) for this problem. The control should be able to handle both normal drilling and operation in the face of disturbances, such as gas production from the reservoir.
The PhD scholarship is for four years. A minimum of one year has to be spent at NTNU, but for the remaining period the place of work can be either at NTNU in Trondheim or at SINTEF Petroleum Research in Bergen.
Applicants should hold a Masters degree in a relevant subject, e.g., Engineering Cybernetics/Control Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Applied Mathematics or Physics.

The position is placed in salary code 1017, pay scale level 43 which currently corresponds to a monthly gross income of NOK 27.133,40. 2% of the gross income will be deducted for mandatory membership in the National Pension Fund.
Appointments are made in accordance with current regulations with supplementary rules for research fellowship appointment in universities and polytechnics.
