National University of Singapore and Stanford Southeast Asia Fellowships 2008
The National University of Singapore (NUS) and Stanford University (Stanford) invite applications from mid-career and senior Southeast Asianist scholars in the social sciences or humanities who would like to spend up to six months at NUS and Stanford writing and doing research on or related to contemporary Southeast Asia.
Candidates may be of any nationality and reside in any country.
Applicants should submit :
* a project statement (not to exceed three pages) that justifies and describes the writing - and research envisaged during the fellowship;
* a schedule of preferred locations and dates including time in residence at each of the two campuses;
* a sample of previous English-language publication; a curriculum vitae;
* and full contact information for three references who are able, if asked, to evaluate the proposal and the candidate.
The exact length of the fellowship and the allocation of time spent at each campus will take into account the preferences of the successful applicant.
The fellowship carries a stipend of US$ 7,500 per month plus reimbursement for air travel to and from NUS and Stanford.

SembCorp Undergraduate Scholarship for Studies at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU)
SembCorp Scholarship - The SembCorp Undergraduate Scholarships are awarded to outstanding students of Indonesian nationality for a 4-year undergraduate studies at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). This scholarship offered for undergraduate programme in science like engineering, biology, mathematics, computer, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
Indonesian nationals who have completed the SMU Ujian Akhir Nasional (UAN) examination (IPA) or are completing SMU Ujian Akhir Nasional (IPA) in year 2008 are eligible to apply for the scholarships. Only students with outstanding high school results will be shortlisted for consideration.

Nanyang Scholarships for New Undergraduates International Students
The Nanyang Scholarships are awarded to outstanding freshmen pursuing undergraduate programmes in Nanyang Technological University. ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship offered by NTU
The ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarships are offered by the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) for students from the Association of South East Asian Nations, or ASEAN (except Singapore). Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program
Funded by the Government of Japan
Qualified citizens of developing member countries of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), who intend to persue postgraduate studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related fields are invented to apply for scholarships under the Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program. Upon successful completion of the graduate program, the scholars are expected to return to their countries and contribute to its socioeconomic development. ASEAN Scholarships 2008 for Indonesia (SLTP and SLTA students)
The ASEAN Scholarships for Indonesia is tenable for 4 years leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced’ (GCE ‘A’) Level (or equivalent) certificate.The Scholarship is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary Three to Pre-University Two and is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar.
Students from Indonesia are welcome to apply for the ASEAN Scholarships for Indonesia to enter Singapore schools at the Secondary Three level. Candidates who are not short-listed for the scholarships will be considered for the Merit Awards.

[Singapore] The Singapore Government Scholarship For 2007/2008
Scholarships from Singapore are available now for Academic Year 2007/2008. Application for the Singapore Scholarship must be submitted on the prescribed application form (The application form and supporting documents must be of A4 size and printed on one side only).
Please contact the Singapore Embassy/ High Commission/Consulate-General in your capital city for a copy of the Singapore Scholarship brochure and application form. The essay is an important part of your application.

Please also note that most shortlisted nominees will take the entrance examinations set by NTU or NUS. All shortlisted nominees will also have to undergo an interview conducted by interviewers from NTU , NUS and SMU. The decision of the Singapore Government on the selection of Singapore Scholarship recipients is final.
What is Offered
* The Singapore Scholarship is tenable for the minimum period required to obtain the respective degrees at Nanyang Technological University, National University of Singapore or Singapore Management University. It covers full tuition fees and a living allowance of S$4,300 (covering meals, transport, textbooks and course materials during schoool semester) per academic year. In addition, a separate full accommodation allowance based on the room rates at each university or designated hostel (for SMU which does not have on-campus accommodation) will be provided during school semester.
* One return economy class air ticket is provided for the Scholar’s passage from his/her home country to Singapore for the duration of studies determined by the Singapore Government. No additional assistance will be provided for other travel expenses.
* A recipient of the Scholarship may not concurrently hold any other Scholarship, Fellowship, Grant or Award without the prior approval of the Singapore Government.
* There is no bond imposed on the Scholarship by the Singapore Government. The Scholars are expected to return home to contribute to the development of their countries upon graduation.
* The Singapore Government reserves the right to terminate the Scholarship if the Scholar’s academic progress is unsatisfactory or his conduct is in violation of the university`s rules and regulations.
