PhD Position in Economics and Management Open to External Candidates
The Strasbourg Faculty of Economics and Management, Louis Pasteur University (ULP) France has a vacant PhD position - it is full time and open to external candidates.
The aim of the PhD project is to investigate the link between technological change and the structure of labour demand. It should be investigated, theoretically and tested empirically, whether, how and by which extent, changes in the quality of equipments have affected the structure of production and type of labour requirements.
Requirements :
1. Master`s (MA, MSc or drs) or M.Phil in the area of economics and econometrics or related fields (mathematics, statistics).
2. Excellent quantitative and statistical skills
3. An interest in microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics
4. Good mastery of both written and spoken English (and French to some extent)

APOINTMENT :
The appointment will initially be for 3 years. The gross salary will be in accordance with the national regulations for PhD students, and will be about 1200 Euro (net) per month, + 300 Euro if teaching tutorials classes (around 64 hours a year). The PhD thesis should be finalized within this period. PhD students are affiliated to the Augustin Cournot Doctoral school.

The French Government, through the Embassy of France in Jakarta, has been providing excellence scholarships to Indonesian citizens for more than 25 years. In order to pursue its objective to improve Indonesian human resources, the Embassy of France will offer scholarships for the year 2008. These scholarships are given to government officials, lecturers, students (with a priority to those involved in a cooperation program between France and Indonesia) to undertake three kinds of training :
* Master degree (maximum duration of 2 years)
* Doctoral degree (maximum duration of 3 years, only on a shared cost basis)

Requirements

Beasiswa Eiffel Scholarship Program 2007-2008
For International students, The Eiffel scholarship program offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is designed to bolster international recruiting by French schools of higher education, at a time when competition to attract elite foreign students is growing among developed countries.
To get Eiffel scholarship, usually we should have been received in university in French. Eiffel scholarships are awarded to foreign students for study in France towards a master’s degree, primarily in three areas: engineering, economics & management, law & political science. Under the program 400 scholarships are offered every year. The scholarships provide recipients with a monthly allowance of about 1,000 euros. The students chosen are also given health coverage, travel expenses and cultural activities. Since 1999, when the program was first founded, over 8,000 candidates have applied and over 2,600 have been chosen.
Registration is opened every year and usually is closed in the early of year precisely month of january.
